I did the tutorial in PSP9, but I’m sure it can be made in other versions as well.

A simple tag

This is what we are going to make:

 

You will need:

*  PSP

* A tube you can get mine here

* A font of your liking, I used Vivacious

Extern filters:

* Penta.Com

* FM-Tile Tools

Are you ready? Okay then let us begin

Take this clip with you, so you can see where you are in the tutorial

Step 1.

Open a new image 500 x 500 pixels, transparent

Step 2.

Open the tube, and pick a color, I used #d53e15

Flood fill with the color.

Step 3.

Effects – Plugins – Penta.com – Color Dot with these settings:

 

Step 4.

Copy the tube, and paste as a new layer.

Step 5.

Right click on the tube layer – Duplicate.

Close the copy, and make the original tube layer active.

Step 6.

Adjust – Blur – Gaussian Blur, with these settings:

Adjust – Add Noise with these settings:

Step 7.

Adjust – Sharpen

Effects – Plugins – FM-Tile tools – Blend Emboss – Default settings.

Step 8

Activate the tube layer, and make the layer visible.

Make a copy of the layer, and close it, make the copyed layer active.

Change the settings to Soft Light, see below

Step 9.

Make the top layer active and open it.

Image Resize – 85 %

Adjust – Sharpen

Effects – 3D effects – Drop Shadow, with these settings:

Step 10

Merge all layers

Step 11.

New layer

On your material palette, choose pattern and find the Gold Bead pattern.

Flood fill with the pattern.

Selections – Select All – Selections – Modify – Contract – 4 pixels

Click ok and hit delete on your keyboard

Selections – Select none.

Merge all layers.

Step 12.

Activate your Text Tool, with these settings:

Type a text of your liking, you can use any font you like.

Convert to raster layer.

Add a drop shadow, same as before.

Step 13.

Add your name or watermark

Merge all layers.

Export as a .jpg file.
